The leap into the boot gets bigger every year, for him and for your back. The Amble Co. Foldable Dog Car Steps take the jump out of travel entirely: four sturdy, non-slip steps that let him climb into the car, the ute or onto the bed at his own pace, no launching, no lifting, no landing hard on ageing joints.

Repeated jumping down from car height is one of the quiet contributors to joint wear in dogs, and for owners, hoisting twenty-plus kilos of reluctant retriever is a chiropractor visit waiting to happen. Steps solve both. The wide treads and grippy surface give confident footing even for hesitant first-timers, and the frame holds steady under big-breed weight. The steps also spare sofas and beds the scratch damage of repeated scrambling claws, which owners of leather furniture will particularly appreciate.

When you arrive, the whole staircase folds flat in seconds and slides into the boot beside him, ready for the return trip. It stands equally well at the back door, beside the sofa or anywhere else a small dog with big ideas or a senior with stiff hips needs a hand up. Teach him with a few treats, supervise early climbs, and the steps quickly become part of the routine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it hold a big dog?

The frame is built to stay steady under big breed weight, and the wide treads give a large dog room to place his feet properly on the way up.

My dog is nervous of steps. Will he use it?

The grippy surface and wide treads give confident footing, which is what most hesitant dogs are worried about. Lead him up slowly the first few times with a treat at the top.

Can I use it indoors?

Yes. It works for beds and sofas as well as cars, and it saves your furniture the scratch damage of repeated scrambling claws.

How small does it fold?

It folds flat in seconds and slides into the boot, so it travels with you rather than living in the garage.

Does it really help his joints?

Repeated jumping down from car height is one of the quiet contributors to joint wear. Steps let him climb instead, which spreads the effort rather than concentrating it in one landing.
